Exporting
Volumes will allow you to share your disk contents
with others, or use the data in other programs, like spreadsheets,
databases, or word processing. It's easy to export your data.
Just follow these steps:
- Select
a volume in the left pane. You cannot select an entire database,
just individual volumes. Databases are shown to help orient
your choices.
- Select
How
you would like your data to look when it's exported. There are
four choices; each has a thumbnail preview to illustrate how
it will appear.
- Select
How Deep into subfolders you want to export. I like to organize
my disks with folders, and tend to export only the contents
of the root directory. To do this, you leave the slider on zero.
To delve into subfolders on export, move the slider to the right
to define just how deep ZCP3 should export.
- What
to Export? Select the checkboxes for items you'd like to
export. Exporting Volume Info will place a bunch of data about
the volume at the very beginning of the export file.
- Navigate
Your Computer and select where you'd like to export your
data to. If you don't select a location for your export file,
ZCP3 will export it to your desktop. To select a folder (location)
you must double-click it.
- Type
in a Filename for your export file. Don't enter any kind
of file extension, as ZCP3 will do it for you.
- Click
Export Now! ZCP3 will display a progress bar during the
export.
